1. I have already been vaccinated. Do I still need to quarantine?

¡æ Yes, even if you have already been vaccinated, you do need to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. (Decision made by Korean Government)

For your information, Korea has not implemented "Vaccine Passport" at the moment.

2. How much is the cost of quarantine?

¡æ Roughly speaking, it is around USD 1,500 including meals. Unfortunately, you cannot quarantine in the on-campus dormitory.

It is your responsibility to book a quarantine housing for yourself, as we do not offer quarantine from our on-campus dormitory.

3. Does Sogang have any recommendation on quarantine housing?

¡æ We are working with EnKor RoomKor (https://www.enkor.kr/quarantine/) since 2020 in order to provide quarantine housing for international students.

By far they are the safest, and the most affordable form of quarantine housing in Seoul. StayforU(http://stayforu.com/) is an alternative.

4. What is quarantine like in Seoul?

¡æ You will be strictly self-isolating during your 14-day quarantine. This means you cannot step outside your room. Since you cannot go grocery shopping during this period, you will have to request your landlord to deliver you food. If you stay with EnKor, they will deliver you lunch and dinner. Breakfast will be mostly bread and cerials.

¡æ You are obliged to get PCR tested within the first two days of arrival. You walk to your nearest test site, get tested, and receive your result the next day. Then, you will receive another test on the 12th day of quarantine. You will be released from quarantine on the 14th day, if the result of the second PCR test is confirmed negative on the 13th day.

¡æ Violators of the quarantine regulations are subject to deportation. There has been several cases back in 2020.

5. What happens if I am tested positive? How much are the medical bills?
